Who doesn’t like a good tiki-bar? Honestly though, the fun cups, rum, the long straws, fire, rum, crazy dry ice mist, more rum; in my experience a good tiki-bar is pretty potent and Three Dots and a Dash is no exception.
Three Dots and a Dash have conveniently labelled the drinks that are overly alcoholic with a little skull by the name. And even more fun is the pictures on the menu where you can choose your drink by contents or just whether you think the cup is handsome and to your liking.
The ambiance here is totally committed to being tiki-bar themed from the costumes the waitresses wear to the skulls you might notice as you walk into the main area.
One aspect that really sets this place above many other tiki-bars is that you’d never know you were walking into a bar. It is speakeasy style as you’d never know there was an establishment in the middle of that alley aside from the door guy and some very inconspicuous signage. Really though, you’ve got to walk down the alley to get there. It’s not on Clark street. It is located in the alley just east of Clark street.
Three Dots and a Dash really is a great place to go with friends so that you might get the shared drinks but watch out, it’s pretty potent.
