Gastrobar is a cozy, modern restaurant in the old part of Chisinau. The chef Vitalii Voroncihin and his wife, pastry chef Irina Karasik work together to deliver what anybody looks for in a restaurant: good food.
I suggest you to always start with Middle East Snacks like hummus, baba-ganush, falafel served with homemade marinated vegetables.
Meat and fish on the grill. Usually starting with Thursday, Gatrobar serves fresh oysters and mussels in Belgian style.
The place is well known for the quail soup and my favorite lentil soup, the homemade bread and tortillas. The menu of Gastrobar changes each season and is very close to what you can catch on the farmer’s market on each season.
Gastrobar is great during the summer. They have a nice terrace and a very tasty meringue roulette filled with cream and fresh strawberries.
The wine lovers will be happy at Gastrobar, because of the impressive local wine offer.
