Iarba Noastra is not just any simple bakery from Chisinau. It’s a place where Natka Minunatka made her dream come true. Who’s Natka? A girl from Moldova who just loved making sourdough bread and telling stories about it. Every day she was sharing her bread stories on Facebook, inspiring people to start baking bread at home.
Once upon a time, she decided to open her own bakery, and for that she started a crowdfunding campaign on social media. It was an unexpected success! Friends and foreigners made donations to make her dream come true and one day she opened the door of her small bakery on Dimbului 24 str, where you can see how the bread is made from scratch: making the flour from bio grains at her little mill, making the dough, kneading the dough and finally baking the bread.
Natka makes more than 10 types of bread and you can buy one on the spot or at Eco Local Market, each Saturday at Kentford. I would definetly sugges the pumpernickel and the bread made with apple jam. Also, I love her bread cookies with flax seeds.
