Some Saturdays, The Royal Danish Ballet opens up and lets you into their daily practice. The event is free but requires a ticket. Their morning practice starts at 10 am and while watching the dancers you can have breakfast. From 9 am you can buy a breakfast bag with a small snack and coffee or tea. You can either enjoy the breakfast beforehand or bring it into the theater. It is not a regular show, but you are let into a world we ordinary people are not always let into.
Typically it takes about 90 minutes and you will watch the dancers’ ordinary practice. It is both basic steps but also longer series that will be part of future plays. There is always a pianist playing the piano and a trainer that coaches the dancers, but also tells you a little bit about the dancers and the steps. It is a great opportunity to see the beautiful theater from the inside without paying a fortune!
The events are announced on Facebook so just keep an eye out.
