The cozy little Cafe Pixie on Bopa Plads has the slogan "Love and coziness since 2006". The café scene tends to change a lot in Copenhagen, but Café Pixie seems to stick.
I've been to Pixie with the girls for a glass of wine, for random coffee with friends and for dinner with mom on a visit from the south. Every time this little café seems to do the trick.
When you enter there are the bar tables and stools to drink at and in the back are the tables. They have a selection of simple but amazingly tasting dishes. They have a policy of only using the best ingredients and their meat comes from "happy animals". Also, the brunch is perfect, with simple, tasty dishes, and not the orgy of swine and eggs buffet you get everywhere these days.
The atmosphere is always relaxed and a big part of the waiters speak English as a first language. The wine prices are steep, but beers are affordable. The Pixie family is expanding and right now the owners also have café Taxa and café Auto on Nørrebro. But as with people in space, there can only be one first – Pixie is the big sister you should swing by while in Copenhagen.
If I had to mention one thing that makes Pixie stand out from the rest? It's the stuffed fox on the wall.
