Gasoline Grill is Klaus Wittrup's life-long passion translated into a business. He has lived in the US and learned how an American burger tastes. In 2016 he transformed the old gas station into a real American burger joint. This means only a few but tasty ingredients, juicy beef (or veggies) and a sweet bun, all to create a balance between sweet, sour and salty.
The beef is organic and the vegetarian choice is with asparagus (if you're tired of fake meat and soy protein). They have a mushy bun (I've heard there are mashed potatoes in it) and crispy fries. They have a small selection and everyday they sell 100 burgers before they close. So don't hesitate to get here, because otherwise maybe you won't get one.
It's cheap, considering that it's smack in the middle of inner Copenhagen.
All in all - it's a burger without the bullshit. No fancy extras, no huge dining room, nothing you wouldn't expect. They have mastered a simply fantastic burger. That's probably why Bloomberg named them as one of the 27th best burger in the world.
Grab one on the go or sit down for a quick bite to eat. I promise you won't regret it - maybe just that you didn't spring for a second one.
Pssst: They are popping up more and more places in town. So just look for the signs. But THIS is the orginal one.
