'HBF – Hovedstadens Bordfodbold Forening' directly translated means 'The capital's table football union'. Need I say more?
In Denmark, the national sport is football, but the unofficial one is table football. You can find a table in every bar that has a little respect for itself and reasonable beer prices. Every once in a while you'll meet that one guy who can juggle the ball, score with two touches or just do random stuff that seems unnatural. He is probably a regular at HBF.
It is nothing but football tables on every free surface and a small bar. They have tournaments all week at 19:00. Wednesday is double beginner's tournament and Thursday there is open training from 16:00 - 17:30 with a tournament afterwards. Don't worry about a partner, if you don't have one - they'll find you one.
The first visit is free and it costs 10 kr. to play in a tournament. It is open from 18:00 - 23:00 every weekday and after the tournaments it is just free play. The best players of Denmark come here to hang out. Don't challenge them, but get all the tips to impress later, when you go out to challenge every pretty girl or cool guy in the bar.
This is worth a visit, just for the feel of being accepted in the club – it's a cool one.
