It’s the time of the season… Every winter (from November to March) the square by Frederiksberg Garden is transformed into a little winter wonderland. An ice skating rink is laid out between the entrance buildings to the garden, and it’s a magic place to be, especially once the Christmas lights are lit.
It’s nice to get moving and goof around – nobody says you have to look like a natural! If you bring your own skates you can use the rink around the clock, but otherwise you can rent skates within opening hours.
One rule only! Clockwise is the non-collision course. But in my experience, no one really abides by that rule…
When you’ve grown tired of falling on your behind, you should buy yourself a hot cocoa in the café situated at the entrance to Frederiksberg Have, where you should then take a walk and enjoy the old garden. Or go to the newly opened Chinese tea house located inside the gardens.
