There is a good reason locals get up extra early during weekends to buy their bread at Juno. On both Saturday and Sunday mornings, there is a line all around the block. It has actually become kind of a tourist attraction just to watch people queue that long for a bun! The owner has worked at Noma (currently the best restaurant in the world) and you can tell from the pastries he has that kind of mindset. Everything they serve is perfect.
They are world-famous (all over Denmark!) for their cardamom buns which you have to try. The buns contain so much butter they’re actually kind of heavy to carry. Besides the buns, they bake delicious sourdough bread and all kinds of amazing pastries. However, it is not cheap. It is a place to grab and go, but you can be lucky to get a table in the small garden and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
