At Kanalhuset, located in a beautiful part of Copenhagen called Christianshavn, they serve dinner at 7 pm every night. The food is served on big plates to share with your neighbours and everyone is seated at large tables. They call the concept “Fællesspisning” (Social dining). For only 150 DKK you get a main course, sides, and bread. Here, the concept of all-you-can-eat is king. Children under the age of 4 years old eat for free.
This is a great opportunity to sit down with people you don’t know and get to meet new friends. If travelling alone, it is the perfect place to hang out! You have to book a table in advance and on their website you can see the weekly menu. During lunch hour they serve “smørrebrød” (open-faced sandwiches made of rye bread).
Kanalhuset is also a cozy hotel and they arrange both knitting nights and yoga sessions. Definitely worth a visit!
