La Esquina Copenhagen – Rustic, delicious brunch and wine

I have no idea how you pronounce the name, La Esquina. In our household it's just called "the place where they have the awesome brunch by the lakes". But once you step inside, it is very straightforward. Order by the bar, get everything in separate clay pots and enjoy.

The décor is light and with a focus on the clear passion of this place – the wine. Everything seems handcrafted and built in at this place – it just fits. The big windows let in the light and give you a view of every couple walking to the lakes and every runner going there and back. Everything on the menu is made from scratch and you can taste the quality.

For brunch, try everything. For lunch, try the grilled bread with grilled tuna or avocado. Wash everything down with a glass of the house wine (it's always five o'clock somewhere).

Oh, and the staff is some of the sweetest around. You can count on a smile and a chit chat, even when the place is packed. Go here before or after a walk around the lakes. It's cheaper than every other café with a view over them and I promise you the food is better!
