This is as Italian as it gets outside of Italy. At Mangia, only Italian chefs work. They have imported their food culture to Copenhagen and created an authentic Italian restaurant. If you have been to Italy, you know they don’t care about a cosy atmosphere or a well-decorated dining room – the food speaks for itself. And at Mangia, it really does. All the pasta is hand-made in the restaurant (they serve the most amazing tortellini filled with ricotta cheese and spinach with butter and sage) and they also have a great selection of other traditional courses. All wines are Italian. Mangia is a crowded place, I would recommend you make a reservation. It is not unusual that you spot a celebrity or two sipping a glass of Tuscan red wine while sitting here.
If you can’t make a reservation, don’t be sad. BeviBevi or Circolo (same owners, same part of the city) are excellent alternatives. Buon appetito!
