Every Sunday, the flea market “Veras market” pops up in a big parking area under a bridge at Nørrebro. The neighbourhood is a bit rough but don’t let yourself be frightened, there are so many nice things to shop around for here. In the last few years, Veras market has become more and more commercialized, but I still believe they have managed to maintain the cool and rough atmosphere. It is primarily oriented around clothes, shoes, and bags, for both men and women. It is normal people who just sell out their stuff, so it is a real second-hand Mecca.
This part of Copenhagen is known for its diversity and cool style, and the place reflects that pretty well. There is also coffee, drinks, and some sweets. Be there when the market opens – the good stuff disappears early. Or, if your wardrobe is a little too big, why not make a reservation at their website and try to sell off some things yourself?! Check their Facebook for other events as well.
