I feel like there’s so much to be said about the hipster paradise that The Bernard Shaw is – and amazingly, you don’t feel out of place there, even when you’re not a hipster. The pub itself is one of my favourites (and really deserves a special article!), they host Saturday flea markets, there’s the Eatyard for a street food nibble, but for me it’s also one of the very few places in town I can eat pizza.
I’m not a huge fan of pizza as such and that’s why I appreciate the places I like it at all the more. The Blue Bus is also unique cause I haven’t heard of anywhere else you can eat your pizza in the top of a doubledecker! It’s hidden away in The Bernard Shaw’s backyard, but you can also take the pizza back inside when it’s chilly.
There’s loads to choose from (everything I’ve tried was great, from the very basic to their own special inventions), the wait is usually no more than 10 minutes, and every week they have a boy’s and girl’s name that can get free pizza! The names, I have to say, are fairly uncommon, I haven’t ever been able to catch one myself, but there’s always a chance!
