Stepping into this cafe from a busy street immediately brings a smile to my face. I don’t know if it is because I am not originally from Dublin but there is something about Er Buchetto that has made me feel at home from my very first visit. Walking into this cafe is one of the loveliest experiences – not only are you greeted with the freshest ingredients, but also the happiest staff. Regardless if they are stirring scrambled eggs or making panini, they will never fail to greet each customer who walks through their wonderfully purple door!
Home to cyclists, tour guides, bankers and locals, Er Buchetto has something for everyone and, located in the suburb of Ranelagh, is just a hop, skip and a jump from Dublin’s City Centre. As its name suggests, it is Italian and has an incredible selection of Panino and artistic lattes. I love to order their homemade porridge with blueberries for breakfast or their rustico panino for lunch both accompanied with a latte.
Shelves full with ripening avocados, coffee and teapots make it a real treasure trove – not to mention the brownies and pastries at eye level!
