Liffey Boardwalk – Walk over the river

I would say this 650 meter long boardwalk is very relaxing. When you go out of the street to go onto the boardwalk there is a big difference, it is almost as if the traffic has disappeared.

It is the best way to walk in the Dublin quays.

Please don’t get too excited to the point of jumping into the river, it is not allowed and the water is quite cold, I believe.

I’ve to warn you though that some people will suggest you not to walk or sit here because there sometimes are some drug addicts and homeless people too. I don’t think they are a threat, however you have to be careful as you would anywhere else in the city. I don’t understand why someone would avoid having a nice walk because of that.

This would be mainly on this side I took the picture from, the East side; the side to the West of O’Connell Bridge may be more “friendly” when it comes to this matter.

I hope you will enjoy the walk as much as I do and luckily you will do so on a sunny day 😉
