Mango Tree – Voted #1 Thai in Dublin

There’s no shortage of good Thai places in Dublin, from more traditional takeaways to hip places such as Nightmarket in Ranelagh, and I certainly can’t complain to have one of the best right on my doorstep.

It might be a bit of a venture out unless you live in South Dublin, but I would definitely recommend The Mango Tree if you find yourself around Stillorgan / Sandyford area. It’s easily reachable by the Luas green line and there’s lots of offices around, so the takeaway is very popular during lunch hours, and they have special offers too. They also have a few other restaurants, in Lucan, Rathfarnham and Greystones.

Passing by, the smell coming from inside Mango Tree always makes my mouth water even if I’m not hungry. The restaurants work with authentic family recipes, and whatever I’ve tried in here, I never once had something I didn’t like, be it a curry or a fried rice or a wok noodle dish.

The mains might seem a little on the pricey side, but the portions are huge, each of them are like 2 meals for me, sometimes even 3. They have seating inside if you don’t fancy takeaway; unfortunately, delivery works only within the immediate vicinity.
