Marcel’s – The “pubaurant” — live music

My favorite nights at Marcel’s are those when there happens to be a live band playing great music. It is the perfect meeting spot to chill and have a drink with friends.

The usual music bands would be jazz-style bands, or bands which include instruments like saxophones and trombones. Maybe I like it so much because I play the tuba in a brass band.

However, this is not only a live music venue.

I’ve heard some people call this place a “pubaurant”, because it is half-pub, half-restaurant.

They don’t serve the typical pub food, but restaurant-like food, or “fancy” food.

This is not for people on a budget. Lunch for two with some wine and coffee may end up at about 60 EUR, as an estimate. The price depends on the number of courses.

They have a very small lunch menu, which makes it much easier to decide what to eat. Their dinner menu is notably more expensive.

Both the pub and the restaurant are very different experiences; whichever you choose to do, I hope you will enjoy it.

If you choose the pub, I hope there will be a band playing the night you go. 😉
