Although Leith Walk is filled with cafes and places to grab delicious coffee, the relatively newly opened Café Praline is definitely one of the sleekest and most elegant. Nestled right near the foot of the walk, the black and white décor gives the place a modern feel.
There’s a good lunch menu, along with a selection of pastries and desserts for anyone with a sweet tooth as big as mine! The staff behind the counter are always smiling, and happy to help with anything. There is also a selection of fresh bread on display behind above the coffee machines.
The prices, as is usually the case in this area of town, are fairly low compared to the prices found right in the centre of the city. Even if you’re not a fan of coffee, it’s worth the trip into Leith just for the impressive array of homemade cakes and macaroons!
