Did you know that you can get straight to Narnia from Edinburgh? I LOVE finding quirky shops on my travels, and White Stuff’s flagship store on Edinburgh’s Hanover Street has one of the best kept retail secrets in the city!

Alongside their own vintage sweet shop and customer tea stop, the visual merchandising team have installed a wonderfully interactive changing room experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen! On entering the corridor to the try-on space, you’d think you were simply walking into a room of cupboards. However, these wardrobes are actually built into fake walls, and on opening them you are transported into an entirely new world.

Each wardrobe reveals a new theme, and it’s not uncommon to see the staff giving curious customers tours and explanations of each one. My favourites? I love the Narnia forest, the toilet and ET’s wardrobe (remember that bit in the movie when they hide him in the teddy bear cupboard?). I won’t spoil it by giving them all away – go investigate for yourself!
