In the middle of my favourite square, Piazza Santo Spirito, Volume serves customers from early in the morning to late night. You can pop in for a coffee on the go or have a drink and snacks from the buffet before dinner or, like most customers, stay for a long time. Volume took over the place from a wood worker and many carved pieces are still part of the interior, like a museum. There are also always ongoing art exhibitions which add to the arty vibe and lots of books to read if you’re on your own or waiting.
The cozy surrounding is great for meeting friends for a tea or glass of wine in the cold season, while the terrace outside on the square is perfect in warmer weather. Also a nice place to snuggle up with your laptop to do some work. Sometimes in the evening Volume is quite crowded but the service is effective both in the bar and at the tables, so no worries. There are often live concerts and if not, there’s good music playing anyways. If you have a sweet tooth I can highly recommend the yummy cheesecakes and the salty crêpes are very good too.
