I love starting the weekends off slow by having an extended breakfast/lunch once I get up. If you share my passion for French pastry, I’d suggest you try the “Le Deux Messieurs” breakfast Location, a mix of a cafe, bakery and bistro.
The spot is located in Frankfurt’s Westend, right at the U-Bahn station “Westend”,
The atmosphere inside is very French- the interior looks just like a French bakery. It’s mainly decorated with wood, as well as the tables and chairs, and there is French music playing. There are plenty of delicious-looking croissants, brioches, tartes and freshly baked bread in the displays and a a small offer of French wines, liquors, jam and chocolates is also available.
Of course, you may just stop by and buy your choice of rolls and pastry for your breakfast at home – not to forget the croissants that are to-die-for – but one can really indulge in the atmosphere by starting with a sweet breakfast (bowls and porridge is alsa available) and coffee, and then going over to something more savoury and a glass of wine or cider.
There are typical French dishes on the menu such as different kinds of tartes flambées, quiches, but also toasted sandwiches, soups and delicious salads.
The outside area is covered and blankets are offered on colder days, in case you’d rather enjoy your order with fresh air.
