There is this wooden house on the Berger Strasse in the quarter Bornheim. It is a Korean restaurant made out of wood both on the outside and inside. The restaurant has a summer terrace as well, but especially in winter I like the cozy feeling inside the wooden house.
The menu is presented as a handwritten one-pager and definitely needs some explaining, which the staff is happy to give you. They are well-briefed about the Korean food and will give recommendations and let you know which meals are really spicy. The traditional sides, such as Kimchi, will be put on the table to go along with your meal.
On the facebook page the slogan is "mom and dad cooking for Bornheim" and it really tastes like traditional Korean food with a very personal twist.
