I discovered Berger de Faletans bakery walking back from the Marché de Plainpalais (check the Marché de Plainpalais article). People were standing at the door of this pastry exclaiming “Yum” and “Delicious”. They were eating a financier cake and it tasted so good that they couldn’t stay silent. Their enthusiasm was so catching that I bought a piece of cake too and it was indeed delicious! The croissants, scores and chocolate pralines are also yummy!
This cafe and bakery shop pays attention to graphic design and decoration. As a sweet and chocolate specialist, it creates real art works in this gourmet materiel – just have a look at the éclairs or chocolate lapin for Easter! Its packaging is also attractive, and its tearoom make you feel in a home-kitchen or a dream with the white tiles on the wall and the big fluffy celling cloud.
During the summertime it has a pleasant terrace in the courtyard; a nice tiny garden in the city centre.
NB: The shop closes 30 min after the cafe.
