Café Zinette is definitely my favourite restaurant in Geneva in terms of quality, savouring food and innovation. Eating there is always an interesting experience of tastes. Its only drawback is that it is a good restaurant and this makes it a rather expensive one.
Even if it offers affordable dishes of the day with salad for CHF 20* I prefer eating there in the evening and taking the time to savour my meal and the pleasant atmosphere. In winter I like eating in the almost-private dining room upstairs in the 19th century house. In summer the wonderful terrace makes me feel like I’m on holiday.
The menu is simple with only a choice of 5 starters (CHF 17), 5 main courses (CHF 40) and 5 desserts (CHF 11). It is renewed every two months. Each dish is cooked in an interesting way with fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. Currently I would love to try the starter “Nougat of goat cheese, beetroot, chicory and chestnut”.
The waiter is always pleased to make a wine suggestion from the large selection of bottles from Geneva or abroad.
