When talking about this area of Geneva, most people instantly think of the Baby Plage, which is without a doubt a great beach, making you forget that you are at a lake and not by the ocean. Yet, a couple of meters further back there are the “chairs on the rocks” as I call them. Scattered on big chunks of stone are a couple of white chairs waiting for people who want to stare at the horizon, watch the swans and the sailboats, read or just enjoy the breeze.
Close to the Baby Plage, but less crowded and hectic, the chairs are a perfect spot for reading and sunbathing all afternoon. I really like to catch a couple of sun-rays on the chairs while I take a break on my run too.
There is also something poetic about them and if you sit there, you will always catch a beautiful scene on the water.
