Gelatomania – Ice cream fever

Summer in Geneva is so chill; my favorite season of the year seems to have finally landed in Geneva for my greatest pleasure and people are really making the best of it — so much so, they are lining up in front of ice cream parlors for a scoop of heaven. Yes, I confirm it is worth the wait for these ice creams!

On my street in Paquis, we are blessed with two delicious and local artisanal ice cream shops: Manu Gelato and Gelatomania. It is hard to decide which one is better. As if they were my lovers, I try to visit both of them regularly and switch from one to the other each week, as to not make any of them jealous.

At Gelatomania, I particularly love the pineapple basil flavor. I just love being able to grab a good locally sourced and handmade ice cream at midnight on a hot spring/summer day and take a stroll by the Lake, watching people pass by without a worry in the world. Such a real pleasure of life!
