Trust me, you will go crazy for this burger restaurant. Until recently, there was not much more than McDonald’s and Burger King (well… BK only in big cities) in Switzerland for burger lovers. Especially those looking for freshly prepared burgers with more or less healthy ingredients were on a difficult search. Together with Inglewood, Holy Cow has changed this and is responsible for a growing burger culture in Geneva. The burgers at Holy Cow are freshly prepared and are made up of purely local ingredients (the beef for instance is from Canton Vaud).
You will find a big selection of different sandwiches and seasonal specialties- my favorite is the light Chicken Burger with this amazing basil-mayonnaise. The classic beef cheeseburger is also great. The menus come with tasty fries and I think the coolest thing are the drinks: you get a free refill of different syrups – almost all American style but the syrups are 100% Swiss too and flavors are changed according to the season.
They have a student’s menu for only 13.90 which is one of the best offers you will find in town – so don’t forget to bring your student ID (if you still have one, lucky you…).
Holy Cow has restaurants in Geneva (one at Rue de Carouge and one at Place Cornavin just opposite the train station), Lausanne, Sion and even Zurich and Lucerne now.
