Malama Coffee Shop Geneva

Malama Coffee Shop – Cozy coffee corner

Nestled in the calm residential neighborhood of Champel, this lovely coffee shop was opened by a hyperactive acquaintance of mine who has since become a friend. Juggling between two kids, a husband, and several freelancing jobs, she has somehow also found the time to open this little slice of heaven.

MALAMA is a tiny, cozy place to chill, with a selection of hand-roasted Arabica coffee, organic teas, and homemade sweet and savory snacks. You can have your baby Chino or flat white with a wide option of milks, real or non-dairy. Their banana bread is also to die for. Be sure to get there on time, though; it’s always the first item they run out of!

I try to go there as often as I can because it is an ideal destination for me to rest once I have gotten my 10,000 steps in for the day.

Legend has it that if you get there early enough in the morning, you might catch a glimpse of the elusive owner before she disappears in a puff of smoke for the rest of her daily adventures.
