Difficult equation to solve: I love sushi and I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Where can I get my sushi fix without having to sell a kidney?
The answer is Mikado. Mikado is a great lunch options for travelers on a budget who also happen to like sushi. Mikado has been open in Geneva for the past 35 years as they proudly claim. They have several locations. At least once a week for lunch, you can find me at the one located in Terrassière right next to the tram 12 and less than ten minutes walk from my office. Traditionally, I hate fast food stores and chains, but for Mikado, I gladly make an exception. Their sushi is really fresh, good and sold for a relatively low price for Geneva standards. It is quick, good, simple, cheap, and honestly, with the spring days finally coming, the best option is to grab them to-go and have a spontaneous picnic by the Lake or in the Jardin Anglais.
In my opinion, avoid Sushi Shop at all cost; choose Mikado instead , a small, honest, local and fresh Geneva franchise. It will not disappoint you.
