Tea Room Geneva

Tea Room – Rue de Carouge

There is a little tea room right at the tram-stop “Pont D’Arve” which I think is a great spot for many reasons.

First, I love going to a tea room during winter to have a tea or a hot chocolate and a piece of cake. But whenever the cold season starts, I realize that there are not that many cozy places in Geneva. This Tea Room is a great exception! The slightly antiquated interior gives the place an almost nostalgic atmosphere.

Second, the food is great. From Brioche to sandwiches – everything tastes better than you would expect. My favorite thing is the little pine nut cake which you will not find in other bakeries. They go very well with black tea or a coffee.

Third, they serve great breakfast. I have only made it on weekends up until now but when I pass by in the mornings on my way to work I am always a bit jealous when I see people having their coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and a delicious croissant while reading the paper – that looks like a smooth start to the day.
