Think Mexican street food but make it gastronomical. This restaurant in one of Ghent’s trendiest streets sets the example on how it should be. Chef William Verhaeghe never ceases to amaze and produce lovely meals. Not surprising, considering his experience at Bistro Bruut in Bruges, VOS lunch and Foodsharing Ghent.
Ice cold margaritas and tacos to lick your fingers off are only 2 of the options available at this restaurant. All dishes are made for sharing but do not worry, there’s plenty of food and you will definitely find a dish that fits your taste. Don’t let the big neon signs on the outside scare you away, the hospitality is on another level. The inside is dark, filled with brick walls and large Chesterfields which all add to the rock ‘n’ roll theme.
Bicho Malo serves authentic Mexican food with a dark and sexy twist, a must-visit if you are in Ghent.
Tip: Save room for dessert as they have churros con chocolate. Close your eyes while you eat them and you’ll think you’re in Mexico instead of Ghent.
