De Parkiet is the kind of lunch place that reminds me of my grandmother but in a very good way. The kitsch interior and lunch menu take me back in time, just with a twist. Their lunch menu consists of several toasts, all unique in their own way. All ingredients are fresh and you can have taste combinations I’d never think of. The option with oyster mushrooms and artichokes is to die for. No matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to make them that good at home and I keep getting back to this spot to have them.
De Parkiet also serves some warm dishes such as quiche and home-made soups. During the day, you can always hold a pitstop for coffee, and at night, the lunch menu changes into an evening menu. They serve dishes to share or have your own if you’re not the sharing-type person.
Tip: take your camera with you since I have seen some of the most beautiful sunsets on the water when sitting outside on the terrace.
