Paard van Troje – Tales

Paard van Troje is a book shop and coffee bar. The perfect combination, right? I love sitting at home reading a book with a good cup of coffee, especially in winter.

The name means literally Trojan horse, named after the famous tale from the Greek mythology. So they sell towering cases of all kinds of books. After you have chosen a new book, you should stay for a coffee and a piece of pie. You feel immediately at home when you come inside. The relaxing sofas, the smell of coffee, you just forget the time. In the summer they have a huge terrace in front of the shop overlooking the square.

The atmosphere is modern with a lot of light. You can have lunch as well but I have noticed that the quantity is limited so if you go there in the late afternoon the chances to find some lunch are small.

Sometimes I just come for the coffee because it’s good and the prices are very democratic. It’s situated near the shopping street so you can make a  quick or whole-day visit.
