Darcy’s is a great place that is tucked away at the bottom of Prince’s Square. Since opening in late 2011, it has since expanded (they must be doing something right). It is not somewhere you would easily stumble upon so it is good to know about. I happened to find it during an exhausting shopping trip and it saved me from a grouchy mood.
If you are lucky enough to catch Glasgow when the sun makes an appearance, sometimes the seating area spills over to Buchanan Street so you can catch the rays as you dine! The decor is very nice, influenced with a relaxed American style; it is a great place to go whether you are in the mood for a great meal or just a few drinks.
Darcy’s also offers cakes and small plates if you just want a light bite before you carry on with the rest of your day. It can get very busy, especially around lunch time so it is wise to book ahead. They also have a great drinks menu, including some delicious cocktails (I’d recommend the Kokonut Daiquiri – yum). If you are near Buchanan Street at any point, it’s definitely worth a visit.
