The Flying Duck is a friendly and laid-back cafe/bar/club situated in the city centre, right in front of the cinema, and it really is a place worth visiting when in Glasgow.
Step inside and enjoy the atmosphere of this hipster underground haunt, populated by crowds of students and visitors of all ages. At the Flying Duck the kitchen is always open, serving a wide variety of vegan pub dishes (orders are taken at the counter) such as chips and snacks of all kinds. Among the various options on the menu, I suggest trying one of the glorious Subs. Fancy a burger? You can choose from three different types of vegan patties and many combinations of toppings. The real speciality, however, is the Maccarito, a burrito with macaroni cheese in it. A real flavour bomb!
One last piece of news for all the party animals: the Flying Duck is also an entertainment space that hosts several gigs, performances and deejay set every Saturday. So dust off your dancing shoes, grab an ice cold Tennents at the bar and enjoy your evening in the coolest basement in town!
