One of the best independent music venues in Glasgow, The Note has live music on almost every night of the week. The downstairs music venue is like a cave (it can get very hot and sweaty in there) and hosts international acts as well as up-and-coming local bands. Just about every taste is catered for from metal to punk to indie pop to tribute nights and … well, the list is endless.
With friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere, it’s a good place to hang out for an afternoon drink – away from the wanton consumerism of Argyll Street. Take a seat by the window and watch people passing on King Street. Bring your laptop and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi.
The vegetarian/vegan menu has an excellent selection of meals and snacks, served in the cafe/bar til late and they do an all-day breakfast on Sundays.
Check out the Listings page on the 13th Note website for gig details.
