The Hill is a contemporary restaurant and bar with a surprisingly large menu for quite a small venue. Located right near the end of Byers road in Glasgow, this beautiful little venue is ideal for a night out in the West End. It has large and comfortable leather seats, as well as some large cushioned couches that are perfect to unwind in while you have your meal.
Stylistically speaking, it is a bit of an anomaly, as it is very modern in design yet it gives off an aura of vintage diners one would see in a 1930s film. The lightbulbs are unique and of interesting shapes, reminiscent of gold bubbles or fairytale imagery. It has aged wooden floors, and the ceiling is supported by a series of large poles that tower above the circular tables.
Admittedly, the food is also a little on the pricey side, so it is not ideal for a student searching for a cheap meal, but also serves a wide range of drinks. They have also now introduced a Sunday brunch menu, available from 10:00 until 16:00 every Sunday. They also do a pub quiz night on the odd occasion! This said, the food is genuinely lovely and it is definitely worth giving this lovely, rustic restaurant a try.
