Come grab a seat with me at the legendary Trans-Europe Cafe, a place where it doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned wanderer, a day-tripper or just a sedentary Glaswegian: travelling starts by reading the menu!
Established in 2005, the Cafe has always been known in the city for its evocative decor: from the old-school tiled store sign to the table benches made out of old bus seats, everything here makes you think of adventurous expeditions.
All sandwiches, in fact, are named after European cities, and they are really tempting. What’s best is you can literally go from Hamburg to Dijon in just a couple of bites, or better, have a taste of the glamorous Monte Carlo without even getting on a plane. And don’t forget to stop in Zurich for a nice combo of goat’s cheese and picante sauce on a bread of your choice, the best of the best.
But in case you are unsure of your next food destination, I suggest asking the staff, which is always very helpful and friendly, for some quick travel recommendations. Who knows? Your sandwich might inspire your future adventures!
