I hadn’t ever entered this restaurant until recently, with my family, and I’m very glad I did. A lovely Scottish restaurant located on Crow Road in Glasgow, Wee Lochan makes a lovely day out with the family. They have Scottish-themed art all over the walls, and the food is primarily Scottish, with one or two international twists on dishes (for example, I’m not altogether sure that the gnocchi I had would be considered Scottish, but it definitely took some clever inspiration)!
For a starter I ordered the crab spring rolls, and the meat was tasty and pulled apart easily. They make an effort with the presentation, and all their food is as visually appealing as it is good to eat.
The servers are polite, efficient, and friendly, and moved quickly when taking orders. The atmosphere was very warm and open, and it’s almost like having a dinner party at a close friend or family member’s house.
