The Zero Waste Market is one of my favourite local shops in the Dennistoun neighbourhood.

This is such a great spot for all the plastic-free lovers! It’s my go-to for fresh vegetables, bread and eggs. Their fruit and vegetables are super fresh and in tune with the season. Every time I visit I discover new things and it’s amazing how small actions such as shopping at a refill shop can make an impact on the waste we produce!

They are a refill shop so expect to find loads of loose pasta, cereals, dried herbs and even chocolate!

Top tip: if you are planning to shop here have a look around your cupboards for empty containers so you can bring them with you and fill them up with all the products in your shopping list. I have an old egg box container which I keep reusing every time I go do my shopping.

At the Zero Waste Market, you can also find cleaning products. I usually bring an empty washing up liquid bottle I kept from a previous purchase and keep filling it up here. The whole shopping process is fun but if you want to be super prepared head to their website for more instructions!

During lockdown, they also started click and collect with amazing veg and fruit boxes.

Make sure to pop by and get to know how you can reduce waste with plastic-free shopping!

Oh, and they also have loads of eco-friendly homeware products and gift ideas.
