Café Bel Dì Hamburg

Café Bel Dì – Portuguese culture in the centre

I love Portugal fondly and try to go there at least once every year.

When I’m in Hamburg though,I visit Bel Di, which is situated not in the main Portuguese areas at Schanze or nearby the harbour but right in the heart of the gay area on Lange Reihe (the street name means “long row”). That makes it not only very central nearby the Alster lake and the main train station, but also a great place to sit and watch all kinds of people passing by while enjoying small wonderful snacks and drinks. I usually go for wine and toasted croissants, which are both very reasonably priced and handed to you by the charming staff.

It’s a place to relax and enjoy life. And feel like being in the south a little.
