Chilehaus Hamburg
A favourite entrance
I love old buildings and Hamburg has some special ones that are part of UNESCO's World Heritage. This staircase is part of one of my favourite interior designs for old commercial warehouses. It is part of the Kontorhaus district and inside it is the "Chilehaus" which is outstanding from the exterior as well.
In the entrance area I love to check out not just the staircases but also the old info boards with the companies names which where established in this building a hundred years ago. You should try the usual office hours to get in as it is still used by companies and will be mostly closed on weekends.
