Located in one of the most famous streets of the Schanze area, you will find this little treasure of a café. With the cozy, warm and unique atmosphere it really differs from the typical hipster cafés you usually find in the Schanze. The walls are covered with paintings of old sailors and you will find miniature sailing ships and anchors. The comfy armchairs and sofas add to the relaxed atmosphere and will simply make you want to sit down with a fresh mint tea and a piece of their wonderful cake, just to relax and to read a good book.
But not only the cake is delicious – in this restaurant they serve southern German dishes at extremely good prices. And the food is really incredible! You have to try their different types of dumplings (Knödel) with Parmesan sauce or Käsespätzle (a special type of cheese noodles – this plate is really huge, you could even share it) and for desert I suggest you share the Kaiserschmarren (similar to pancake ripped in pieces). Yummy!
