Kogge – Harbor rock pub

Lean back in your wooden chair, have the first sip of your ice-cold beer, light up your cigarette and get an authentic view of what St. Pauli and its people are about. You will not find a fancy bar with lounge music, soul food or clinical cleanliness; what you will find is a place you just have to love.

This little gem, close to famous Reeperbahn, will welcome you with my favorite Jever Pils beer, great rock music and stuffed ashtrays. Honest people from all ages and backgrounds gather around the ‘Kickertisch’ (soccer table), have a chat at the bar or just hang around listening to the music. Some evenings you will find live vinyl DJs or musicians (see website for program). In summer time, just sit in front of the pub and watch the people find their way to the waterfront.

The pub, at the same time, is the reception of the integrated Hotel, so if your eyes get heavy, just get yourself a bed.
