In 2007 I lived in Altona and started dancing. In 2009 I met a guy called Carsten at a dance party and he introduced himself as one of the men from “Lockengelöt”. I had heard the word before as it is an invention of some Hamburg comedians with a crude humor (which I like a lot) and I had heard about their shop. Of course we danced and I visited the shop shortly after.

At that time it was still at Wohlwillstraße in St. Pauli and was a meeting point for friends and neighbours. And for people who enjoy crafted handmade furniture and small recycled things, before recycling became a thing. Most of the things were built downstairs in the workshop but when the guys had to move they moved the workshop and the shop to different places.

The shop is now in Karoviertel with many nice little shops around it. The friendly friend with a big heart as well as his companion Dennis (of course as well with a huge heart) have several colleagues now. Apart from the nice furniture they’ve designed themselves and small pieces, they sometimes invite musicians so I highly recommend their newsletter. Good heart: good art. Check out their lamps, key chains, egg holders and many more and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
