When I rate restaurants, I always ask myself if I could re-cook the meals at home. Of course, usually any professional cook should be able to outdo my cooking skills, but relating to the meals at L’Orient, I can tell you that I can’t. It’s not even that they use highly fresh ingredients of really good quality; they arrange them in a very inspiring way.
You will find traditional Lebanese cuisine with a French touch of serving it. When I passed by this restaurant the first time, I thought that it wasn’t my price range, but then I saw the sign telling me that the lunch specials, which they serve from 12:00 – 16:00, are really cheap. You can get a dish with meat for 7.90€ and a vegetarian one for just 6.90€. Although I like to eat meat normally, I have been torn between both options all the time.
Talking about the portion size, it’s more than sufficient. Believe me, I would tell you if it wasn’t. Beside this, they have, of course, a full menu for any occasion. You can have a great brunch for 11.90€, a variety of appetizers or very delicious main courses.
This place is located on famous Osterstraße, which is accessible through the metro station of the same name.
