This unique restaurant and bar was opened by Jo and Cozy who decided to quit their jobs in 2003 to follow their passions – travel, surf and cook. What they brought with them coming back is one of the hottest spots for Latin American cuisine in Hamburg.
Salt and Silver now combines a street food bar and a restaurant located directly at the harbor. In the former they serve, guess what, traditional Latin American street food and a variety of typical cocktails and mezcals. In the latter they share their memories of the best meals they’ve had on their ongoing journey. They surpass old German habits and bring together their guests for a common culinary experience. You can expect full tables with the best tapas you can imagine and tasty, authentic bottles of wine or other grape-based drinks from this region. They want their guests to eat together, to laugh together and to create their own memories. Have you ever had ceviche? If not, go there and try it. If you have, I don’t need to tell you to any more — you will already be on your way.
You can sit inside and outside and you will have an amazing harbor view from all over the place. This place is a great start to discover the harbor area of St. Pauli, so bring all your friends or make new ones.
