Gran Delicato is also one of those places that really surprise you once you’re inside, because it’s not really an eye-catcher from the outside. A friend took me there, promising their great coffee, and I was so surprised! This cafe is decorated with so much heart in it, it almost feels a bit like a vacation in Greece or Italy. It immediately feels homey when you enter: the wooden furniture, the coloured walls, the brick counter…they also have two more locations in the city, but I encourage you to take a walk to this one.
Their coffee is indeed very good, definitely amongst the best I’ve had in Finland so far. Also their selection of (really really good) ciabattas and salads is very nice. If you want to take something home, you can also do that, they sell a selection of Mediterranean delicacies. Gran Delicato is a very round concept, when sitting in one of the little armchairs they have in the back of the cafe you lose track of time very quickly!
Like I said, they have a couple more cafés around these days, but this one remains the best/original :).
