One Pint Pub Helsinki

One Pint Pub – The good old shaggy one

Now, in case you haven’t already noticed, I’m one of those “craft beer” jerks. So I think this is a worthy instalment to the spots already on Spotted by Locals. Actually this one should be the first when it comes to craft beer joints in a 3 km distance from the centre.

The amount of quality beer pubs has tripled in recent years, but I still like to point this pub out. One Pint Pub is one of the originals. They have fridges full of different beers from around the world and usually something new from local Finnish breweries on the tap. And there’s always the bonus of tasting “the spirit of sahti”, a vodka-like by-product of sahti. (No, you won’t be surprised.)

You don’t come here to eat. You don’t come here to party. You don’t come here to check design furniture or the sunset or listen to an overrated hipster rock band. This is honestly a place to taste beer. And I hope it’ll never change.
